Having used these hats extensively on desert trips we were hugely impressed with both the level of sun protection provided to the head, neck and shoulders as well as their robustness in enduring fierce winds, sandstorms and everything else the desert environment can throw at you.   Since then we have used them in the jungle, the mountains and whilst kayaking and found them to be a first class piece of headgear.
